always at the top of the chic tailoring game, italian luxury fashion house Max Mara have been designing for women since being established in 1951 // somehow the brand has managed to keep driving forward power dressing for women in an ever changing landscape // cuts are kept modern and sharp whilst still maintaining femininity, something i am always conscious of when power dressing //

ian griffiths, the creative director at max mara has been at the helm for a number of years now // somehow he’s continued with the brands timeless strong woman aesthetic and kept them relevant and forward thinking //

brand watch Napapijri

new fave on my rail has to be italian brand napapijri // perfect drip for the winter season napapijri has been a long standing european name focusing on outdoor apparel and travel bags // the rainforest jacket is now a seasonal staple for streetwear heads and skii-ers alike!

with its slick negative black && white icon Napapijri keep their designs simple this season focussing on sustainability and durability // and a recyclable jacket //

proving theyre relevant as ever, sponsorships with up and coming uk artists is part of their latest media campaign including by best new drum and bass badgirl Sherrelle yeeeeeah G //

the brand has also been teamed up with Martine Rose for collections since AW17 which have been heavily sought after // rose said of the latest SS19 collection “Prints took a variety of inspiration, from early 90s UK garage and sportswear graphics to art deco upholstery fabrics and aerial views of rural landscapes across the American Midwest.”// peep the lookbook below // more info can be found at http://www.napabymartinerose.com/

heliot emil SS20 “torqued ellipse”

ok my obsession with heliot emil is showing no signs of slowing up anytime soon // im still drooling over their looks from the spring summer show in paris last month //

i know i write about them every season but vitor and julius juul continue to experiment so gracefully with tech and fashion // alyx fans will say theyre biting but i honestly think theyre doing something different //

the collection, named and inspired by serra’s sculpture series was a virtual presentation and you can still catch the full show here… http://ss20.heliotemil.com/

technical layers and clever cutaways in shades of industrial monochromes // absolutely love! // the tailoring too is on point // also those metalic pants in looks 2 && 29 are set to be big hype come their release in jan //

fashion killer 011 elisa johnson

elisa johnson has always had good style but these last couple of years she has really finnessed // she’s someone i really like to follow and i think shes always on the good cutting edge of fashion and street style // always holding it down in a practical never looking like stupid with it //

daughter of LA lakers legend ‘magic’ Johnson elisa style’s a good mix of high && low fashion often repping jordans and known for her sunglasses flex // im also a sucker for a monochorome look //

establishing herself in the fashion industry will be light work if she keeps this up // style inspo for real!!! //

rhude for maxfield LA pop-up

california streetwear brand Rude has teamed up with Maxfield LA for a second pop-up clothing drop // i must say these are probably my fave rude clothes yet // im a sucker for bandana print atm // CANT STOP //

following the initial team up back in july which saw Rude founder Rhuigi Villaseñor working with maxfield we now have an exclusive fall drop at the store // focusing more on outerwear this collection has a couple of percys //

notably the bandana print jacket is a bit of me!!! also the allover multicoloured dyed denim fit is SO GOOD //

rhude can sometimes miss the mark for me with the ultra branded in-your-face shit but these bits are nice //

no news on availability elsewhere but if its anything like last time the line will become available at the usual boutiques in due course // SSense, Union, selfridges, 424 etc…
