girls in suits 009 palmer//harding

the next in the female tailoring series comes from Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding // relatively new on the scene launched by the central saint martins pair in 2012 the brand is going from strength to strength //

a bit different to the others in the ‘girls in suits’ series, this is tailoring at its most relaxed and flowing // in fact palmer//harding push the boundaries and our relationship with suiting as they deconstruct and rework traditional garments into new found shapes and experiment with pattern cutting and draping techniques //

i for one am a huge fan of their innovative and contrasting approach to modern tailoring // often mixing the harsh with the soft, feminine amongst the masculine, structured with the flowing //

their cohesive collections of everyday wear littered with more statement pieces are a feast for the eyes //

certainly a brand to add to the work wardrobe for those days when you want to push chic fashion vibes in the office rather than power suiting //

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous //

brand watch A-COLD-WALL*

a-cold-wall* has gained an immense following since its birth just a few years ago // london based founder and designer Samuel Ross formed the brand in 2015 and has always used the platform to forward UK culture fusing high end with urban street style for deconstructed fashion at its best //

Ross received the BFC/GQ designer menswear fund award back in June as the brand jumps from strength to strength // well deserved recognition //

not to mention his SS20 show for LFWM was held at well known rave den printworks and open to the public // full of the usual deconstructed streetwear in a mix of earthy tones there was markedly more tailoring than perviously // hinting at things to come //

the rtw collection ‘Chroma’ was a triumph of the minimal && the monochrome with futuristic vibes // few of my fave pieces below //

and some for the girls too //

ports 1961 summer 19 rtw

for easy summer outfits look no further than the Ports 1961 ready to wear collection // filled with wonderful textiles and thigh skimming skirts alongside laid back oversized tailoring //

i’ve always been a fan of ports 1961 this collection had a gorgeous femininity whilst creative director Natasa Cagalj¬†brought a retro feel to some of the looks with her use of rope knots and handwoven plaits // some were complete with wooden beads //

such a fan!! that pink shirt dress is to die for //
