girls in suits 010 Max Mara

so yeahhhh ive been away busy suiting and booting myself so what better way to return than with my next girls in suits write up!!

always at the top of the chic tailoring game, italian luxury fashion house Max Mara have been designing for women since being established in 1951 // somehow the brand has managed to keep driving forward power dressing for women in an ever changing landscape // cuts are kept modern and sharp whilst still maintaining femininity, something i am always conscious of when power dressing //

ian griffiths, the creative director at max mara has been at the helm for a number of years now // somehow he’s continued with the brands timeless strong woman aesthetic and kept them relevant and forward thinking //

few snippets of my favourite looks from the last few Fall seasons below // too many looks to choose from but here im focusing on suiting predominantly //

hell yeah //

girls in suits 009 palmer//harding

the next in the female tailoring series comes from Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding // relatively new on the scene launched by the central saint martins pair in 2012 the brand is going from strength to strength //

a bit different to the others in the ‘girls in suits’ series, this is tailoring at its most relaxed and flowing // in fact palmer//harding push the boundaries and our relationship with suiting as they deconstruct and rework traditional garments into new found shapes and experiment with pattern cutting and draping techniques //

i for one am a huge fan of their innovative and contrasting approach to modern tailoring // often mixing the harsh with the soft, feminine amongst the masculine, structured with the flowing //

their cohesive collections of everyday wear littered with more statement pieces are a feast for the eyes //

certainly a brand to add to the work wardrobe for those days when you want to push chic fashion vibes in the office rather than power suiting //

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous //

honing from Tbilisi in Georgia // matérials last few collections have been on point in terms of female tailoring // sleek minimalism with perfect silhouettes //

matérial really have been at the cutting edge of the Georgian design scene since its birth in 2012 //

creative duo aleksandre akhalkatsishvili and lado bokuchava are currently at the helm of the label // and they are killing it with their artistic vision whilst never compromising on quality or wearability //

the pink faux leather cut is to absolutely die for!! //

yes please //

structured and simple // get to know serbian born london based designer Roksanda Ilinčić //

roskanda has been showing her collections on the london fashion week schedule since 2005 // always sophisticated and elegant roskanda has womens tailoring down to a fine t // roksanda has from the early days been a pioneer of romantic femininity in her designs without being cliché //

some shots from the last few seasons that i LOVE are below // power dressing never looked so chic //
